Key job responsibilities

  • Design and implement innovative tax - controllership tools and processes across multiple jurisdictions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate indirect tax risks

  • Lead quality control initiatives and process improvements

  • Partner with global teams to implement tax controllership initiatives

A day in the life

You'll collaborate with international teams to solve complex tax challenges, participate in strategic planning sessions, and contribute to transformative projects. Your day might include analyzing tax regulations, designing control frameworks, and consulting with business partners to ensure compliance while fostering innovation.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

  • Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department

  • Indirect Tax knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and entries

  • CPA

  • J.D.

  • Experience researching indirect tax issues including taxability of products and services.

  • Financial / Accounting knowledge

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $172,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
