Amazon Kuiper Order to Cash Lead, Global AR Finance Operations in Arlington, Virginia

The Kuiper Order to Cash (O2C) Lead, as part of the Finance Operations team, is a thought leader who’d drive AR performance with strong subject expertise, deep business knowledge of the product/channel and leverage best practices and process improvements. This position would closely partner with Service center leaders, business partners, finance, sales and product/tech leaders in maximizing free cash flow, building longstanding relationships, scaling processes and drive positive customer experience through right mechanisms, tools and reporting. The role would influence the Kuiper AR strategy and build proactive mechanisms working with all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have the ability to navigate ambiguity and take decisions both at a tactical and strategic level – balancing on speed matters and diving deep for scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will influence, have high problem-solving capability , be data oriented, seeking diverse perspectives while implementing changes as part of a high performing team.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive and lead AR processes working with global SC and business partnership teams that includes billing, collections, cash application and driving relationships with Account Manager, Sales, business and Finance teams.

  • Identify process efficiencies and effectiveness, providing critical feedback regarding process and tool design and lead adoptions around new processes, workflows, tools and other new service offerings.

  • Drive engagement with business partners, tech and upstream teams in mapping out a seamless end to end process that has a positive FCF impact and reduces/eliminated invoice defects.

  • Define, maintain and monitor all key performance metrics to ensure decisions are data driven proactively. Build and enhance dashboards that measure outcomes and drive performance.

  • Ensure new businesses and acquired businesses are successfully onboarded to Amazon systems and processes, in order to ensure maximum collection and cash application efficiency.

  • Develop and manage milestones across projects to ensure timely and successful deliverables.

  • Dive deep and design/redesign processes for existing as well as new business lines and geographic expansion.

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) with a mission to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience

  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience

  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
