NSX Server Engineer III – IT Server Engineering

Texas Health Resources is looking for top skilled Server Engineer III NSX experience. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Resources 612 E. Lamar Blvd, Arlington, Texas 76011.

Work hours: Full Time Days (Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need

Education

· Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field OR 4 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree. (Required)

Experience

· 5 years’ experience with technical knowledge of Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems; or Active Directory; or virtualization hypervisors. (Required) AND

· 4 years’ experience with VMware, Zerto, Cylance, Ivanti, Microsoft Platforms (Preferred)

· Real-world hands-on deployment, configuration, management, and upgrading experience with NSX-T. Ideally, version v3.0 (or later) (Highly Preferred)

· Real-world hands-on experience with vSphere v6.7 (or later), including both vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and guest workloads (Preferred)

Skills

· Written and verbal communications skills, Productivity S/W, complex problem-solving, leadership, organization/prioritization complex problem-solving, leadership, organization/prioritization

· Good Visio and documentation skills to be able to fully and clearly document the entire virtual networking environment/solution

· Ability to explain various virtual networking topics/concepts

· Good understanding of traditional network routing and switching

· Basic understanding of BGP dynamic routing protocol

What You Will Do

· Design and implement a highly available, enterprise class virtualization environment.

· Serve as coordinator with backup administrators to design, implement, and assist in maintaining enterprise backup solution.

· Assist SAN administrators with virtualization design and storage requirements; provide forecasting of storage need to inform future storage purchases.

· Design and maintain lab environment to facilitate testing for both virtualization infrastructure as well as any hosted business applications.

· Coordinate and assist with deployment of patches for hardware, hypervisor, and guest OS layers. Develop process to enable team members to successfully apply patches.

· Periodically review security best practices and make recommendations as applicable. Develop process around auditing permissions and access to virtualization environment.

· Perform testing of all patches and upgrades to virtualization environment prior to implementation.

· Design solutions within the context of the available infrastructure, taking into account scalability, availability, reliability, stability, security and performance.

· Interface with Enterprise Infrastructure and Database teams to coordinate delivery of solution components.

· Deploy applications as requested by development teams and assist with problem resolution and performance tuning activities.
