This is a hybrid role requiring you to be on-site at least 3 days a week.
What you will do-
As the Plant Controller you will work closely with the Operations Director to manage the financial result for the plant. You will manage a team including recruitment, training, development and performance management. You will oversee the budget, projections, capex, standard costing as well as business partnership with the local management team and the support functions like Supply Planning, HR, Procurement and the shared service center in Costa Rica and the inventory center of excellence (COE).
Additional responsibilities:
Provide financial advice and support to the team leaders within the facility.
Provide weekly financial updates to the Site Operations Director, and the Director Finance of Stryker.
Provide financial inputs at the monthly business unit reviews.
Be responsible for the preparation of the facility annual budget, setting of the annual standard costs and preparation of the annual strategic plan for the facility.
Be responsible for the preparation of the facility financial outlooks throughout the year and provide the Operations Director and the Director Finance with a financial commentary on the associated risks and opportunities.
Ensure that adequate internal financial controls exist and are adhered to within the facility.
Lead and participate in cross-functional and cross divisional process improvement initiatives.
What you need -
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent discipline such as finance or business required
10+ years' of work experience required
Preferred qualifications
Experience in a Finance position supporting a high performance manufacturing operation
Experience leading and managing teams
