Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics business, a division of GE HealthCare, is a leading supplier of diagnostic imaging agents used in X-Ray, CT, ultrasound, SPECT and PET imaging to provide deep insight that enables clinicians to make confident diagnostic and treatment decisions for patients. Close to a quarter of a million patients every day are imaged using a Contrast Media or Molecular Imaging agent provided or produced by GE HealthCare.

Responsible for setting and extending marketing strategy throughout the organization, aligning strategy execution across all geographies in the USCAN (US, Canada) and across all modalities of the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics portfolio, and driving innovation, as well as Commercial success for the region. You will set the vision and strategy for Marketing excellence standards, leading a dedicated team of Marketing professionals and leading cross-functionally. Critical to success is the ability to work effectively with multiple partners and stakeholders, manage resources, gain buy-in to the regional marketing plan, and proactively develop effective and accountable teamwork for timely execution.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform continuous assessment of portfolio competitiveness within region, both current and future anticipated state, and plans to maintain/improve portfolio performance and achieve Sales objectives, including revenue and market share growth plans.

  • Provide key inputs into Strategy Reviews and resource planning, including market sizing, and forecasting and investment requirements – allocate budget and resources across the region and portfolio

  • Actively solicit and share competitive intelligence; commission market research to identify market opportunities, ensuring return on investment (ROI) in data

  • Identify points of intersection and creating collaboration across the portfolio, regions, and greater GE HealthCare

  • Attract and retain world-class marketing talent, guide their development and effectiveness as brand managers

  • Establish and lead marketing support team providing center of excellence support (value propositions and insights, analytics, marcomms and content marketing, digital marketing)

  • Demonstrate operational excellence - overseeing the development and execution of regional marketing plan, inclusive of programs to increase customer awareness, preference and purchase intent across full PDx, ensuring GE HealthCare presences as regional trade shows and show sites, implementing key sponsorships

  • Provide organizational leadership to support an effective Advertisement and Promotional Review system, built upon cross-functional collaboration across regulatory affairs, medical affairs, legal and compliance partners to enable the timely execution of compliant assets and programs

  • Establish KPIs to measure effectiveness of marketing activity in the region and be dedicated to continuous improvement, making budget decisions across the region and portfolios; understand sales support needs and ensuring feedback loops inform campaign and asset development

  • Continually evaluate the product portfolio versus customer needs and competitive actions to identify opportunities for rationalization (LEAN) and strengthening

  • Partner with training leaders to ensure commercial teams are fully equipped with knowledge, materials and tools required for successful execution of growth objectives

  • Partner with Market Access team to identify customer requirements and key reimbursement and pricing programs

  • Support advocacy and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) programs in partnership with Medical Affairs, professional societies, and patient groups

  • Actively support Business Development initiatives to evaluate new inorganic opportunities.

  • Actively support Commercial Excellence and Sales to execute omni-channel strategy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field or equivalent of degree (defined as an Associate’s Degree and at least 15 years’ experience in healthcare product marketing)

  • 10+ years’ experience in product marketing, inclusive of extensive experience in full marketing mix of activities working with sales teams and supporting commercial teams with programs to drive awareness and sales.

  • 3+ years’ experience in Marketing leadership with direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or related field

  • Deep marketing expertise in strategy, market analysis, product launch and product commercialization, and branding

  • Healthcare product/industry acumen, preferably in diagnostic imaging and pharmaceutical imaging agents

  • Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy

  • Strong influencing skills across business functions, confidence to share difficult messages and defend decisions and make judgment calls

  • Innovation: develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas
