D & D Commodities Ltd CDL Class A Truck Driver in Argyle, Minnesota

The CDL Class A Truck Driver is responsible for loading freight on trucks for deliveries. Primary job duties are driving, delivering, and unloading freight. Other typical duties involve running errands, picking up supplies, supporting maintenance and production crews. Measures of Success Fully understands how to operate and safely drive the assigned vehicle. Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) up to 80,000 lbs. Loads product on trucks in an organized and efficient manner. Unloads or delivers the orders intact to delivery location. Ensures contents are properly secured to prevent damage/injury. Effectively interprets and understands the paperwork provided to assist in organizing the shipments. Inspects vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and performs preventative maintenance. Complies with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with DOT and company policies and procedures. Maneuvers trucks into loading or unloading positions. Report defects, accidents, or violations. Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions. Supports the maintenance and production departments as needed and/or when not driving. Ensures operation of production machinery and mechanical equipment by troubleshooting, identifying, and completing preventive and routine maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems, sieves, augers, conveyors, stick machines, gravities, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to sit, stand and /or walk for up to 3 hours at a time in an 8-hour day; ability to frequently grasp, push, pull, bend and climb.
