Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team in Apopka, FL . Apopka, FL is located near Orlando, FL. surrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers. Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers.

  • In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules. Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.

  • Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through targeted negotiations. Issues purchase orders.

  • Manages performance of purchase orders, and ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.

  • Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.

  • Review and approve supplier payments as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business/Purchasing/Supply Chain or related field with 3 years of related work experience. MA + 1 related work experience

  • Proficient with MS Office.

  • Experience with procurement and negotiating.

  • Professional and detailed communication skills with strong customer service relationship skills

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • Knowledge of MRP systems, Supply Chain Mgmt., procurement principles, and acquisition regulations

  • Experience and comfort in high-volume Purchase Order placement.

  • Government procurement experience under FAR/DFAR regulations

  • Familiarity with S4 Hana

Salary Range: $56,600 - $85,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
