What?
As a Senior Principal Architect within our CSS Engineering team, you’ll lead and contribute towards shaping the strategy in designing and building scalable, distributed, resilient services that provide artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities for the business which are consumed by Oracle Corporation and Oracle Customers. You will be responsible for the design and development of critical applications, aligning with the strategic direction of Oracle Corporation and ensuring they meet the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Cloud application development, data engineering and data processing for large scale distributed systems, and software development methodologies. We strongly believe in ownership and challenging the status quo. We expect you to bring critical thinking and long-term design impact while building solutions and products defining system integrations, and cross-cutting concerns. As a thought leader, you will lead the complete SDLC from Architecture Design, Development, Test, Operational Readiness, and Platform SRE.
Desired Skills
Hands-on expertise in developing RESTful web services using technologies such as Java/Spring Boot, Golang, Python, and cloud-native technologies (OCI, AWS, GCP).
Strong background in microservices, cloud-based architecture, deployment, and large-scale service design.
Proficient in databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB.
Skilled in DevOps, CI/CD automation, and security practices (Kubernetes, Jenkins, DevSecOps).
Knowledge of compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, PII, GDPR, SOX, ITIL, ERP).
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience leading architecture for enterprise-scale cloud platforms and multi-technology solutions.
Capable of maintaining architectural integrity under evolving business and organizational demands.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Principal Architect for CSS Engineering team, you will be playing a pivotal hands-on role in shaping up the Engineering Strategy for the business, providing thought leadership impacting business and technology decisions and leading the technology charter for Engineering teams. As we push for digital transformation throughout the organization, you will constantly be expected to think creatively, optimize and harmonize business processes.
Leads enterprise-wide architecture strategies for Cloud Platform services to accelerate cloud adoption.
Defines future-state cloud roadmap, balancing business needs and priorities.
Evaluates emerging technologies and partnerships for alignment with strategic goals and integrates them into the architecture.
Reviews designs for compliance and quality, offering guidance to reduce risks and improve outcomes.
Influences executive decisions and direction through deep domain expertise and business insight.
Mentors team members, promoting innovation and excellence in design and development.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
