Bureau of Naval Personnel EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN in Annapolis, Maryland

Summary You will serve as a EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN in the Division of Professional Development of NAVAL ACADEMY. Responsibilities You will provide oversight, coordination, and training to directors serving under the Deputy Commandant for Professional Development on military fitness reports (FITREPS) and awards. You will ensure accuracy of purchase requests, commitments, requisitions, and open-market purchases. You will be responsible for assisting in preparation of all required periodic reports, ensuring collection of appropriate management data and tracking the timeliness of submissions. You will maintain liaison with the Human Resources Department for HR administrative matters such as coordination of training documentation for federal employees, coordination of staffing paperwork, and other related tasks. You will prepare or assist with preparation of briefings and presentations for the supervisor based upon general guidance or own initiative. You will coordinate meetings, inspections, and visits with the Deputy Commandant. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Evaluating the requirements of professional development programs including proposing ways to improve accuracy, timeliness, and processes of required actions; 2) Performing special tasks in support of all professional development programs; 3) Supporting faculty by serving as the office point of contact; and 4) Assisting in preparation of all required periodic reports, ensuring collection of appropriate management data and tracking the timeliness of submissions; and 5) Coordinating meetings, inspections, and visits. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
