Role Summary

As a Security Analyst detailed to our Rapid Response function, you'll play a pivotal role in protecting our customers by tracking the impact of vulnerabilities on the internet. Working hybrid on-site, in one of our four locations, you'll dive deep into our dataset to extract detailed information about host configurations and their associated vulnerabilities.

You'll leverage your technical skills to write custom fingerprints that identify software families and their corresponding vulnerabilities. Subsequent blog posts on topical events will demonstrate your ability to translate a complex security event into something that is easy to understand and consumable by a non-technical audience. Additionally, you'll be working alongside a cutting-edge Research team whose main goal is to ensure that Censys maintains its position as the one place to understand everything on the Internet.

What You'll Do

Conduct threat research across technical data sets fusing Censys provided data with third-party datasets.

Produce finished threat reports and provide technical support to briefings.

Work amongst a team of security researchers and data scientists who require cyber threat acumen to influence their data analysis and threat modeling needs.

Develop signatures to identify and track malicious actors or vulnerable Internet-connected infrastructure. 

Stay abreast of developments within the cyber threat landscape and track key developments across a range of data sources.

Collaborate with Research, Prod
