IT Security Support Administrator
Remote
M-F 8a-5p CST
$78,000- $85,000 based on experience
The IT Security Support Administrator plays a vital role in safeguarding sensitive patient data, medical systems, and infrastructure. This role requires expertise in identifying and mitigating security risks, implementing robust security measures, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH. The ideal candidate will monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and maintain a secure IT environment that supports the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of healthcare systems.

As an Elara Caring IT Security Support Administrator, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:
Monitor network and system activity for potential security breaches or violations
Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing on healthcare systems and applications
Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant healthcare security frameworks
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards that align with regulatory requirements
Assist in the design and deployment of security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption solutions

What is Required?
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
At least 3 years of experience in information security, preferably within the healthcare industry
Experience with healthcare-specific security tools and standards
A certification in Information Security is preferred (CISSP, CEH, CISM, or HCISPP)
Reliable transportation to perform job tasks
You will report to the Director Information Technology Infrastructure.
