Amsted Rail Plant Electrical Engineer in Anmoore, West Virginia
Duties included Complies with Company policies, procedures, regulations. Drafts capital budget requests Creates specifications for competitive bids on equipment, systems, and construction/installation services Coordinates and controls the work of contractors and equipment suppliers Implements new technologies to solve problems and to upgrade existing facilities Prepares reports and presentations as needed Leads/participates in continuous improvement projects Utilizes computer hardware and software to enhance data collection and analysis Drafts operating instructions and provides training on the operation of new equipment/facilities Supports Production and Maintenance as a technical resource Lead and supervise/manage in a union environment Other duties as assigned Requirements B.S in Electrical Engineering 3-5 years' experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communications skills Experience with high voltage Experience leading teams of hourly Electricians Preferred Attributes Leader: Inspires teammates to follow them Thought Provoking: Capable of making others think deeply on a subject Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Innovative: Consistently introduces new ideas and demonstrates original thinking Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help Growth Opportunities: Inspired to perform well by the chance to take on more responsibility Goal Completion: Inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks Ability to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization
