Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician installs, troubleshoots, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical and electronic systems, conveyor systems, and injection molding machines and equipment. The role focuses on minimizing equipment downtime due to issues, maintaining it at 10% or lower. Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining all manufacturing machinery, diagnosing and correcting mechanical problems, assembling and installing wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, and plumbing. The technician performs preventative maintenance tasks, safety inspections, and repairs electrical equipment and control systems. The role also involves supporting building/facility requirements as directed by the manager, following safety standards according to OSHA and ANSI regulations, and completing requisitions for maintenance items. Participation in 5S Kaizen events and providing own tools are required.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 720 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in ANKENY, Iowa.

Work Environment

Shift: 1st - 6am-2pm Monday-Friday; 2nd - 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday; 3rd - 10pm-6am Monday-Friday. The plant has recently changed management and is focusing on Lean manufacturing to increase efficiency. The facility is warm with some cooled areas for maintenance. The dress code includes pants and steel-toed boots. The technician will work with one other person on the shift and may take occasional weekend calls, shared among the team.
