Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support the maintenance and continuous operation of all HVAC-related building systems. This includes mechanical HVAC controls, related electrical and temperature control systems, and critical environments. The ideal candidate will coordinate with staff and outside vendors as necessary, ensuring that maintenance objectives are met in a documented plan.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and continuous operation of all HVAC-related building systems.

  • Understand and incorporate maintenance objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, corrective, and reliability maintenance procedures.

  • Take immediate action on all alarms, repair or correct alarm conditions, and start follow-up trails for each alarm.

  • Monitor and adjust the operation of refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC Centrifugal Chillers, Cooling towers, VAV systems, electrical emergency backup systems, and hot water systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment.

  • Analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action as required.

  • Monitor the operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment, boilers, ventilating and hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, and filters.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with HVAC/refrigeration mechanical systems.

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.

  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with service, troubleshooting, mechanical, preventive maintenance, boiler.

  • At least one year working in BioPharma or Pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

  • Record of excellent internal and external customer service.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
