Barista / Waitstaff
Job Summary:
The Bradbury Bistro is a small, family-owned business in downtown Anderson, recently featured in the Oct 2023 issue of TOWN Magazine. We are looking for a Barista and Waitstaff support to join our team. The successful candidate will prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages as well as provide excellent customer service in a dining setting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages.
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils and equipment
- Cleaning service and seating areas
- Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers
- Servicing customers and taking orders
- Washing dishes and restocking work areas
- Receiving and processing customer payments
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of drink preparation or service and/or willingness to learn
- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
- Ability to learn cash register software used by bistro.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: Starts at $15/hr; increases based on productivity and professionalism
Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
Benefits: Flexible schedule
Pay rate: Hourly pay, weekly paycheck
Shift: Day, Evening and Weekend shifts available
Work setting: Upscale casual restaurant Wine bar / coffee bar
Ability to commute/relocate: Anderson, SC 29621: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
Education and Experience:
- At least one year of related experience (Preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, serving, and preparing drinks.
- Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds.
