Description
Summary
Join a well-known successful company in California as a Data Engineer. In this role, you will oversee platforms, applications, and data management functions, performing data migrations, automating enrichment tasks, and developing system integrations across various departments such as marketing, finance, and sales. You should possess strong skills in relational databases, data mining, and transformation, while collaborating with team members to deliver scalable solutions and ensure timely project completion.
Responsibilities
Manage Windows and Linux servers for integration platforms and assist with compliance efforts.
Collaborate with solutions architects, project managers, and developers to design effective strategies.
Produce documentation for system integration, administration, and compliance tasks.
Handle incident management and resolve issues related to databases and platforms.
Stay updated on new integration capabilities and patterns.
Write maintainable code and develop high-quality data products that are user-friendly.
Build and enhance infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL and Oracle technologies.
Design analytics tools to generate actionable insights from the data pipeline.
Analyze business requirements to develop scalable solutions.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automate repetitive tasks.
Lead projects while coordinating with partners from various functional departments.
Ensure data security across multiple data centers and regions.
Requirements
Must Haves
3-4 years of experience with ODI Oracle Data Integrator (ETL tools), OCI, and Oracle databases (1-2 years of Oracle experience acceptable).
Familiarity with AWS or similar databases.
Proficiency in Python scripting.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
Willingness to learn and a positive, growth-oriented mindset.
Experience with complex data processing in a retail environment (e.g., transaction parsing).
Knowledge of JSON, XML, SQL, and SOAP/REST APIs.
Nice to Haves
5+ years of experience in developing distributed data pipelines for batch and real-time applications.
Familiarity with dimensional data modeling and schema design.
Expertise in integration development using various ETL tools (e.g., Talend, MuleSoft, Informatica, SSIS).
Understanding of API protocols, including REST, GraphQL, and gRPC.
Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in agile environments.
Experience with microservices, particularly using frameworks like Spring Boot.
Familiarity with Oracle Database and Oracle Fusion Cloud.
