Job description MHC/MSW with a minimum of 1 year of experience serving adults with serious mental illness. Must have experience with conducting appropriate screenings and either performing or arranging for more detailed assessments when needed (e.g., high-risk substance use or mental health related indicators, harm to self/others, abuse/neglect and domestic violence). Clean, valid NYS Driver’s License, Fingerprinting, criminal record check and approval from NYS Office of Mental Health. Qualifications and Competencies - Master’s Degree in mental health or Master’s Degree in Social Work. - Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills. - At least 1 year of experience providing psychotherapy in one-on-one setting. -Committed to learning and improving his/her therapeutic skills. -Strong work ethic. -Experience with integrating mindfulness with psychotherapy, preferred. Responsibilities - The professional will work with the client to complete initial intake, support and ensure that treatment and service plan goals are being implemented in the home environment. They will work with the client to develop and grow problem solving skills. The MSW/MH Professional will focus on the strengths of the individual and family and support them while modeling positive behavior, providing psychoeducation, teaching skills, and collaborating closely with treatment providers. The MSW or MHC will minimally meet the family once a week for a face-to-face visit MSW/MHC will complete short note (SOAP note) per session. Note must be completed contemporaneously after session. - Proactive Communications for scheduling, openings and Cancellations Job Type: Part-time Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
