Randstad US - Melville Logistics Administrator in Amityville, New York

Randstad's Client in Amityville, NY is hiring a Logistics Administrator to join their growing team! This is a full time temporary to hire opportunity that is 100% in office. We are seeking someone with high level Administrative Assistant experience looking for the next step in their career. Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required. salary: $24 - $25 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: High School

Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

Ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained. Monitor stock and reorder supplies as needed. Vendor Relations:

Visit vendors as required to manage relationships and operations. Create and send purchase orders to vendors, ensuring timely receipt and processing. Handle vendor communications and resolve any issues that arise. Logistics Coordination:

Arrange logistics for inbound and outbound shipments. Coordinate with 3rd party freight companies for transportation needs. Arrange logistics for trade shows, ensuring all necessary equipment is shipped via UPS or freight forwarders. Billing and Data Entry:

Manage billing processes related to logistics and vendor transactions. Perform accurate data entry for tracking purchase orders and inventory. Create and maintain spreadsheets to track purchase orders and other logistics data using Microsoft Excel. Pricing:

Assist in managing and updating pricing information. Ensure competitive pricing and manage cost-effective procurement strategies.
