Robert Half OHSE & Quality Manager in American Canyon, California

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an OHSE & Quality Manager in the manufacturing industry, located in American Canyon, California. The role involves taking charge of safety, environmental, health, and quality management to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to corporate standards. You will play a crucial role in implementing and monitoring EHS & Quality initiatives, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of EHS policies to ensure they comply with both regulations and corporate standards.

• Identify potential workplace risks and devise appropriate preventive measures.

• Manage changes in processes and ensure contractor safety compliance.

• Analyze incident reports to ascertain trends and areas of focus.

• Stay updated with OSHA and EHS regulations and coordinate OSHA 300 log updates and submissions.

• Act as the primary liaison for external audits, including OSHA and environmental inspections.

• Conduct safety audits and promote safe behaviors through coaching and mentoring.

• Oversee the management and delivery of safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.

• Develop and implement the plant’s quality assurance program.

• Manage customer complaint investigations, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.

• Utilize quality data to drive continuous improvement and support production teams.

• Ensure compliance with inspection and testing procedures, including raw material and finished goods evaluation.

• Lead internal quality audits and collaborate with production teams on corrective actions. Requirements

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS compliance, and quality management principles.

• Experience in risk assessment, safety training, and quality control processes.

• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) in:

o Occupational Health & Safety

o Environmental Science/Engineering o Industrial Engineering

o Quality Management

o Manufacturing or Operations Management

o Chemical Engineering

o Mechanical Engineering

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance
