What You'll Do
- Conducts Table Top Job Analysis and Training Needs Analysis.
- Coordinates training and training related tasks with other functional areas.
- Research, develop, revise, and present classroom and On-the-Job training (OJT) training in technical and non-technical disciplines.
- Plans and organizes the development of plant-wide training materials in new and anticipated subject areas using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
- Interprets training requirements per applicable orders, regulations, and company procedures.
- Approves development of training course materials, e.g., lesson plans, learning activities exercises, job aids, and on-the-job training performance documentation checklists.
- Develops and administers written and performance demonstration examinations, and coordinates remediation efforts as necessary.
- May perform training program assessments as a member of an assessment team and evaluate the effectiveness of resident organizations' training and qualification programs.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Examples include exercise authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement key training programs; instruct management policies or operating practices; carrying out major assignments related to the operation of the Companys business; work that affects business operations of the Company to a degree; and having the authority to make key training decisions.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- PhD.
- Applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered on an exceptional basis with 10or more years of relevant experience.
DOE Order 426.2 Requirements
- In addition to the above requirements, the applicant must also meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2 (i.e., Baccalaureate in Training or Education. Education must include courses that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing, as well as evaluation of training programs). DOE 426.2 experience requirements can be satisfied following employment. In the interim, newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. (Ref. DOE O 426.2)
Preferred Job Requirements
- Knowledge of adult education and training principles and organizational performance evaluation including: design, development, implementation, testing and control of advanced level performance systems as related to fundamental technical subjects applicable to the education of engineers, scientists, technicians and other similar technical personnel.
- Ability to develop instructional materials based on developed learning and enabling objectives.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the use of computer applications to include advanced Microsoft Office abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in oral and written communications.
- Instructional experience in commercial or academic environments with expertise in a production, crafts/trades, e-Le rning development, or OSHA related Safety Training, is preferred.
