About Siemens Technology Department

Siemens Technology is the central in-house research unit at Siemens and as such occupies an outstanding position within Siemens' R&D facilities. It acts as a strategic partner to support Siemens’ business units with R&D services, protects the company’s intellectual property, coordinates the collaboration with top universities worldwide, and supports standardization activities in all business units and regions. Through its R&D activities in Germany, USA, Portugal, China, India, Japan, and Eastern Europe, Siemens Technology helps to secure the company’s technological future and strengthen its ambition.

What role will you play?

We are looking for Software Delivery Manager who will manage software development of next generation solutions for energy management, gas turbines design, and other areas of Siemens’ business. Candidate shall have an experience of software project management, business and software system analysis, ideally, in the field of Sustainability and Energy.

You will be responsible for

  • Project management in the area of web-based software development for energy and industry domains

  • Development of business and functional use cases together with stakeholders

  • Analysing and evaluating requirements to ensure they are clear, complete and consistent

  • Creating detailed requirements specifications that can be used by our development team to support the development of software applications

  • Project financials monitoring and control, project reporting

  • Guidance of an efficient agile development processes

  • Continuous improvement of the tools and processes used by the team

  • Contribution to pre-sale activities, making presentations for customers

We are looking for someone with…

  • Several years of experience in commercial software development as a project manager / business analyst

  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), solid work experience in Agile teams

  • Ability to transform business requirements into technical solutions

  • Knowledge and experience in requirements management using Atlassian Jira/Confluence

  • Excellent communication skills (English) to be able to manage stakeholder expectations and development team

  • Ability to prioritize work

  • Fluent written and spoken English

Preferred Skills:

  • User interfaces modeling methods (responsive interactive dashboards, web forms and ohers)

  • Experience Figma, Axure, Draw.io, MS Visio and/or other prototyping / diagraming tools

  • Good knowledge and understanding of cloud systems such as AWS, as well as solid knowledge of software technologies Python, JavaScript, REST, Docker

  • Experience in commercial software development as a developer

  • Completed Master's degree in energy engineering, computer science or equivalent education or work experience in conjunction with corresponding additional qualifications required for this role

  • Experience on requirements management tools like Siemens Polarion or IBM DOORS
