The team at Altona are looking to have a Transport Coordinator join their team. You will be responsible for coordinating documentation and completion of loads for all transport on site to ensure compliance with planned time slotting and adherence to chain of responsibility guidelines. This opportunity has become available due to an internal promotion.

You will coordinate with operations, collate, record and update paperwork/software systems and archiving accurately to ensure complete auditable tracking for deliveries and customer expectations on deliverables/Invoicing/Pallet Assets.

You are expected to manage and respond to all stakeholder queries in a timely and efficient manner to avoid negative business impacts. This is a permanent role. Working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM starting Monday morning and finishing Friday evening .

A Day in the life…

• Utilising SAP, Yard management system (TPO) and 2IC to Coordinate and facilitate documentation for transport carriers on site. Issue paperwork and allocate to appropriate transport company, ensuring signed copies i.e., driver, Checker, dock controller is retained for traceability.

• Coordinate X-Dock, non-SAP stock to be despatched via GOD with dock controller and making a note on Con note for traceability

• Maintain and improve all stakeholder relations - Both internal customers and external customers / security contractors. Pro-active management and cooperation with all stakeholders to ensure all needs are met.

• Liaise with THUB team/Security re: delays/changes to scheduling and or operational impacts/requirements including all matters relating to Chain of Responsibility.

• Respond to Customer Service queries using O2C Resolution Cockpit on Proof of Despatch i.e., provide signed documents by driver

• Support Day and Night Transport Coordinator as required to balance peak workload volumes. Archiving despatch documents, maintain traceability of these archive documents and retrieve on request to satisfy or exceed audit requirements

• Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health, Safety & Environment systems, policies, and procedures.

Are you a fit?

• Demonstrated experience in Transport / Distribution / Warehousing.

• Excellent Communicator

• Team Player - Able to work cross functionally and engage varying stakeholders

• Strong Attention to Detail in a busy environment

• Well versed in Microsoft Office

• Works well under pressure, and operational / time constraints to always deliver best possible service
