Job Description

CSMART is currently looking for a Health Care Technician for 24-32 hours per week. Initially, this is a temporary position due to maternity leave, with the possibility to a long term contract. Only local candidates will be considered and sponsorship is not provided.

CSMART, Center for Simulator Maritime Training in Almere, is an international award-winning training center for Operational HESS trainings onboard, online and onsite programs for Carnival Corporation & plc.

As Health Care Technician, your responsibilities will include:

This role is primarily responsible to ensure that Health Care Programs are provided with high quality medical assistance.

As Health Care Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct the nurse components of statutory and wellness exams including:

  • Vital signs;

  • Blood sampling;

  • Urinalysis;

  • Height, weight, BMI measurements;

  • Vision checks;

  • ECG;

  • Audiogram;

  • Pulmonary function test;

  • Health information completion.

  • Maintain accurate, complete electronic health record.

  • Train personnel in health matters.

  • Assist with pre-medical administration, e.g. preparing documentation, forms and participant lists.

  • Assist with post medical administration e.g. storing results, updating logs and scanning of material.

  • Assist with ordering and controlling medical equipment.

  • Assist with communication with local authorities and suppliers.

  • Prepare and adjust the weekly planning of exams.

  • Assist with other planning activities as tasked by Health Care Supervisor.

  • Support Heath Care Supervisor in creating Wellness policies, procedures and protocols.

  • Staying abreast with relevant developments in the medical & public health fields.

Requirements & Experience

  • Previous experience as Nurse/doctor’s assistant/medical technician or equivalent

  • MBO Nurse degree, MBO degree as a Medical Technician or Health Care or equivalent

Skills (Technical / Language / Personal Skills)

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills to consultants, employees, internal departments, and senior management.

  • Ability to work unassisted.

  • Accuracy.

  • Good computer literacy of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
