In this position...

  • Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly UAW represented team that produces manufactured products, organize workflow to meet quality/productivity requirements and follow up with maintenance related tasks

  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts

  • Drive to exceed personal, team, Company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards through servant leadership

  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams

  • Able and willing to work overtime

What you'll do...

  • Lead the Afternoon (#3) Shift of skilled machinist and skill trade maintenance team

  • Insure teams operate in a safe and professional manner

  • Insure proper pay and coding of team members performed daily

  • Follow up with daily lineups and provide daily lineups at end of shift

  • Canvas teams for overtime when required

You'll have...

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years of supervisory and / or 3-5 years of manufacturing experience

  • Must have experience managing and supervising a team of 10 or more

  • Must have UAW experience

  • Ability to work nights including weekends

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations

  • Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers

  • Highly committed to continuous improvement, while applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset

  • Create a culture of safety while applying and implementing workplace policies

  • Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively

  • Value different opinions & is open to ideas & perspectives from others

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 .
