Program Mission...

The Digital Analytics, Infrastructure and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group is the Naval Air Warfare Center- Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) center of excellence and point-of-entry for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) of the synthetic battlespace environment, modeling and simulation, aircraft prototyping, instrumentation and experimentation, electronic warfare and cyberwarfare and provides the associated laboratories, facilities and infrastructure to support research, development, testing, training, systems evaluation and experimentation. This specific opportunity supports the NAWC DevSecOps platform. Through research, data analysis, requirements gathering, enterprise system development, and end-user support, we are expanding and supporting the DevSecOps capabilities to DoD users. Supporting DevSecOps for an enterprise that could reach 50,000 users across all Services and Agencies requires expertise in many skills sets, such as Application Support, Customer Service, Site Reliability, Cloud Services, Infrastructure Support, System Administration.

Years of Experience: 5 years of experience or more

Education: BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another related field or 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

Location: Remote

Clearance: DoD Secret

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Ability to work as a collaborative member of a high profile team

  • Experience operating and maintaining security hardened RHEL systems

  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of DevSecOps tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)

  • Experience analyzing, tuning, and improving performance, reliability, security

  • Experience with DoD STIG checklists

  • Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework

  • Experience installing and configuring software

  • Experienced with Linux command line

  • Ability to program and script using one or more languages (Python, Ansible, Java, C++)

  • Security certification (CompTIA Security+, CISSP) or the ability to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment.

  • Must be able to work 2-3 days per week onsite in Alexandria VA.

  • Clearance: Active DOD Secret

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with software containerization

  • Experience with VMWare

  • Experience triaging and working customer tickets

  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Microsoft Office proficiency
