OBXtek Strategic Communications Analyst - Fort Belvoir, VA - 6066 in Alexandria, Virginia

OBXtek is currently staffing for a Strategic Communications Analystsupporting the Armys Global Enterprise Network Modernization - OCONUS (GENM-O) organization.

Below is a list of expectations the candidate must meet for this effort:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage related websites and SharePoint sites, coordinate outreach events, and produce communication products in support of critical initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver a Strategic Communications Plan that provides a clear, strategic vision for all GENM-O communications and defines how GENM-O will achieve that vision through the application of various outreach strategies and tactics, including written and visual products.
  • Create a Stakeholder Management Plan that defines who the stakeholders are, the requirements of each stakeholder, and the identification and management of key stakeholders.
  • Develop external and internal communications campaigns -- with associated messages and design products - to disseminate information about GENM-O programs and projects.
  • Support the design and development of Internet and Intranet sites.
  • Work effectively with internal/external agencies to successfully communicate any key messages.
  • Support the development of management of any communications needed.
  • Envision, create and execute communications strategies to support major projects.
  • Create and ensure a strategic approach to all messaging and audiences.
  • Lead change management around methodologies/technologies.
  • Perform in-depth quality assurance/quality control editorial checks.
  • Track and report results of internal communications activities.
  • Write and edit communications materials based on Network Modernization concepts and terminology.
  • Work across the client organization and with other vendors to accomplish the organization"s communications goals.
  • Support other Communications activities and tasks, as appropriate.

Travel: Very limited travel can be expected (both OCONUS and CONUS)

Work Schedule: 100% In-Office

Active Secret Clearance

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT-based communications, public relations, and marketing
  • 3+ years of experience developing strategic communications plans and products at a Department of Defense Headquarters level.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior leadership in developing communications support for strategic initiatives.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Army processes, procedures, and initiatives is preferred.
  • Experience working collaboratively across organizations and with other contractor teams
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Affairs, Advertising, Journalism or related field
