ManTech Nutanix Engineer (Hybrid) in Alexandria, Virginia

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Nutanix Engineer to join our team in the Falls Church/Alexandria, VA area . This is a hybrid position, that will last approximately 4 to 5 months, supporting the US government. This position is expected to become fully onsite in the near future.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a support liaison between the customer and Nutanix on any technical issues and contract and licensing questions

  • Coordinate and communicate with your assigned Nutanix account team on a regular basis in regard to your customer’s needs

  • Provide enterprise server and storage engineering and support in strict coordination with the customer

  • Conduct operations and maintenance of hypervisors, virtual machines, centralized management platforms and hyperconverged infrastructure

  • Provide well-thought-out recommendations on complex or ambiguous IT architecture issues

  • Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency

  • Research latest software releases and bug fixes in relationship to the customers install base and provide recommendations in line with Nutanix best practices

  • Act as a resource for direction, training, and guidance for junior staff

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of strong skills/experience with: Nutanix AOS/Prism, VMware ESXi, AHV, VM migrations and Linux expertise

  • Strong experience with server and storage virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructure

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other Nutanix products such as ERA, LCM, Objects, Files, Volumes, Calm, Flow, Cloud, Karbon

  • Experience with other Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, Azure or Google

  • Strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills

  • Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

The projected compensation range for this position is $79,300-$133,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
