Job Description

Under the general direction of the EVP CMI and Director of Finance for IFM this role is responsible for the monthly close activities within a business portfolio. This will include, but is not limited to, liaison with the sites, review of the monthly financials, preparation of the monthly management reports and with comparison analysis against forecasts and budgets, liaising with external stakeholders and preparing monthly and quarterly compliance reports.

Additional responsibilities also include; preparation of the budget and re-forecasts reports in conjunction with the individual sites; cash management including preparation and tracking of the weekly cashflows.

THINGS YOU ARE GREAT AT:

  • Supporting EVP CMI and applicable Business lead(s) by taking responsibility for the month end close activities.

  • Ensuring financial records and audit binders within business portfolio; review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for Accounts Payable and oversight of AP Team.

  • Approval, process ownership and execution of electronic payments and counter sign of all checks.

  • Responsible to follow Delegation of Authority and process governance.

  • Preparing /consolidating budget, forecasts, business plans for review in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Preparing monthly divisional financial statements with comparison analysis against forecasts and budgets.

  • Performing analysis on the monthly financials, producing reconciliations for variances and ‘deep dive’ analysis of costs where required.

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly reports for external stakeholders

  • Calculating annual escalation increases, in line with the contract methodologies

  • Owning the weekly cash flow forecasts for CMI, this includes monitoring accounts receivable balances on an on-going basis and liaising with operational colleagues to ensure payment.

  • Supporting business partners to achieve financial objectives. Review individual project financials and cash performance against budgets and forecasts. Highlight risks and opportunities.

  • Supporting finance projects e.g. process improvement, management reporting enhancements.

  • Developing deep knowledge of ERP systems to support business. Leverage system knowledge to drive process reporting efficiency improvements.

  • Assisting with the preparation of information for the annual audit and draft the statutory financial statements.

  • Ensuring compliance with internal / external audit requirements.

  • Completing adhoc projects for the Director of Financial Analysis, Planning & Reporting or assigned Business Leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting is required.

  • US Federal contract management experience preferred

  • Cost Plus contract type experience

  • Knowledge of DCAA Indirect rates

  • Fully qualified CPA accounting designation is required.

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of related financial accounting and analysis experience.

  • Strong background with ERP / Accounting systems. Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal effectively with senior management and colleagues at sites.

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks in a fast paced deadline orientated environment.

  • Able to deal with change.

  • Good interpersonal skills.
