THE DOWNS OF ALBUQUERQUE Housekeeper in Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for all guests and staff. This position not only cleans the assigned areas but may also be responsible for project cleaning and all customer identified needs within expertise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Dust, sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums and clean assigned areas.
  • Empties wastebaskets and ashtrays.
  • Clean windows and doors.
  • Clean restrooms multiple times per day, including floors and fixtures.
  • Clean all gaming devices, tables and chairs.
  • Clean associated support areas including back of the house offices and restrooms as needed or directed.
  • Stock and maintain housekeeping store rooms.
  • Transport trash and dirty linens to designated areas.
  • Wash, dry, fold and distribute or put away company laundry.
  • Sweep pathways, parking lots and other areas as requested.
  • Restock paper supplies, chemical supplies in bottles, and maintains washroom supplies.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies as needed.
  • Assist in minor maintenance in public areas and reports problems requiring further attention to supervisors.
  • Routinely inspect work areas, identifying potential problems or repairs.
  • Assure exceptional customer service to the guests by communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
  • Respond to all guest and employees requests and guest opportunities in a timely and efficient manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma preferred, but not required.

One year of similar experience preferred, but not required.

Work Environment:

Work is normally performed in a typical casino environment. The noise level is moderate to high. This individual will have a moderate to high exposure to cigarette smoke.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move or push up to 50 pounds.
