Base wage starts at $14.75/hour. 38 hours guaranteed a week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Excellent customer service
  • Drive company trucks in a safe and responsible manner to transport materials to designated locations.
  • Report needed truck maintenance, update maintenance cards and completed daily safety inspections.
  • Understand and communicated professionally regarding items we can and cannot accept.
  • Stack donations in the truck so that items are in a secured position to prevent damage or injury during shipment.
  • Load and unload trucks transferring items to bins, carts, etc, and deliver items to departments.
  • Responsible for having a spotter guide the truck to avoid damage.
  • Assist donors with completing donation receipts as necessary.
  • Remain at location site during scheduled hours when not driving and engage in work as assigned.
  • Knowledge of organizational practices, policies and procedures, and compliance with the same
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:

  • Driving skills
  • Forklift and compactor knowledge
  • Manual operation of dollies and pallet jacks
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Carry out instructions in verbal and written format.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively, bilingual a plus.
  • Read a street map and follow directions.
  • Interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds, and people with disabilities.
  • Work extended hours and various schedules.
  • Work independently and demonstrate time management skills.
  • Handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Obtain certification to drive a forklift.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; see, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, walk, and stand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift up to (75 lbs) and may occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions. Environment is typical of a production/manufacturing/warehouse setting. Noise level may be moderate to loud. Employee may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals etc. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Must be able to drive, have a valid New Mexico drivers license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, and clean riving record. Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol test.

Education and/Or Experience:High School diploma or equivalent. One to two years driving experience preferred.
