Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Job Description

This role involves planning, installing, testing, and repairing electrical and electronic systems in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, configuring and calibrating sensors, and interpreting technical documents. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and calibration on production equipment, inspecting and repairing all equipment, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes. Flexibility to work rotating hours, including nights and weekends, is required to support company needs and provide technical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lay out, install, test, and repair electrical and electronic systems in an industrial environment.

  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, configure and calibrate a wide range of sensors.

  • Read and interpret specifications, schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and other technical documents.

  • Perform maintenance and calibration on production electronic equipment and controls, including computerized plant equipment, in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.

  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all equipment.

  • Monitor line efficiency and work with Engineering staff and Production Supervisors on line improvements.

  • Evaluate new equipment to establish troubleshooting and repair procedures.

  • Analyze causes and implement corrective action on repetitive or major electrical problems.

  • Ensure all facility, building, and wiring meet electrical code compliance.

  • Access and work in office, manufacturing, and outdoor workspaces.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical wiring, conduit installation, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience in programming and troubleshooting PLCs.

  • Familiarity with industrial installation and maintenance.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

  • Electrician License or ability to obtain.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2 years of experience in troubleshooting plant instrumentation systems, programming various systems and controllers, motor/system control applications, and repair of various electronic systems and printed circuit boards.

  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, climb, bend, twist, see, hear, and talk.

  • Proficiency in using hands to type, handle or feel tools, controls, and reach, hold, and carry tools or items.

  • Comfortable working in environments with varied temperatures and food allergens, and at various heights.

  • Flexibility to work hours on rotation (nights/weekends) to support company needs and provide technical assistance.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
