System & Data Associate - Professional Licensure Compliance Team, Ethics & Compliance

Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team and you will help support the important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources, and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace, and support EY’s growth and profitability. Major teams within CBS include Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Enterprise Support Services, Brand Marketing and Communications, Business Development, Knowledge, and Ethics & Compliance.

The Ethics & Compliance function helps protect EY from risks that arise from its professional practice. Ethics, Compliance & Risk Management teams provide coordinated advice and assistance on regulatory and risk management issues, as well as providing management and oversight regarding the organization’s ethics.

Job Summary:

As a System & Data Associate within the Professional Licensure Compliance Team, you will enhance the firm’s Professional Licensure programs by:

  • System Product Management: Oversee system access roles to ensure proper permissions, collaborate with technical teams to develop tools and troubleshoot issues, and serve as the primary contact for system-related inquiries.

  • Data Reporting: Extract, transform, and visualize Ethics & Compliance data using Microsoft Excel and Power BI, while managing program dashboards and providing reports to various stakeholders.

  • Establish project plans, recommend improvements for licensure tracking efficiency, and provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and organization of work activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools to extract, transform, and visualize Ethics & Compliance data, presenting reports to various stakeholders.

  • Manage the refresh, maintenance, and access of Ethics & Compliance program dashboards across multiple Power BI workspaces.

  • Oversee system access roles, ensuring appropriate permissions are granted and maintained.

  • Employ structured problem-solving processes to identify root causes of issues and implement preventive measures.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop new tools or troubleshoot existing ones.

  • Serve as the primary contact for system-related issues, facilitating timely escalations and resolutions.

  • Create and maintain documentation for system processes, user guides, and training materials.

  • Work closely with the Professional Licensure team, internal IT, vendors, stakeholders, and end-users to gather requirements and implement system enhancements.

  • Leverage Microsoft applications to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

  • Establish and implement project plans, including goals and measures, and follow up on approved changes.

  • Recommend and implement new approaches and data validation processes to enhance licensure tracking efficiency.

  • Participate in meetings with leadership, the general counsel’s office, and risk management.

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.

  • Reconcile research findings and communicate results and next steps to leadership.

  • Plan and organize your work while keeping others informed of your status and activities.

To qualify you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in data analysis.

  • Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and Dataverse.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Familiarity with data analytics in support of Ethics & Compliance initiatives.

  • Experience with data validation and analysis tools, including SQL and Tableau.

  • Research skills utilizing internal and external data sources.

  • Previous experience in risk management through education or employment.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $49,100 to $89,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $58,900 to $101,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
