Salary Range:$70,000 - $81,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.
The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Effectively complete assignments related to precast engineering and design.
Collaborate with project teams to develop precast concrete designs that meet project requirements, considering structural integrity, architectural aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness.
Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of precast concrete elements under various loading conditions and environmental factors.
Select appropriate materials and components for precast concrete production, considering factors such as strength, durability, and sustainability.
Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for precast concrete elements using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards.
Assist in estimating the cost of precast concrete elements, including materials, labor, and equipment, to support project budgeting and scheduling.
Assist with field inspections and reports.
Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications for precast projects.
Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
Proactively assist Project Managers and Designers.
Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients.
Provide technical support during the construction phase, which may involve addressing design-related queries from contractors, conducting site visits, and reviewing construction progress to ensure it aligns with the design intent.
Requirements
Education & Experience
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
0-5 years minimum of transportation experience, precast engineering/design experience preferred.
Intern Engineer certification (IE, formerly EIT) or ability to obtain it.
