MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST-SPHP Warehouse-FT-Days

Position Summary : Job duties include but are not limited to; assisting in the coordination of department job /project assignments Plays critical role in facilities department as a facilities coordinator than a secretary. Manages many critical safety devices on campus such as nurse call system, door access/ badges, pagers, pendants, etc. Facilitates getting urgent work orders assigned, nurse call reports for managers (done daily so we know if there are slow call light responses), monitors/schedules/tracks preventative maintenance, Creates Safety Committee agendas and minutes, coordinates setting up Community Center for meetings and events, orders parts and maintains inventory. Assists with orientation and training for new employees including safety and fire drill training. Maintains logs of fire drills in all houses/ buildings on campus for DOH compliance. Organizes and maintains documentation of necessary testing, inspections, etc. for DOH compliance.

Specific to this position:

The Maintenance Specialist will help support all off-site locations related to facility needs.

This position will require the following:

  • Ability to monitor internal work order system, prioritizing work order requests and complete work in a timely manner.

  • Ability to lift/move items 50-75 lbs.

  • Able to problem solve and complete tasks in multiple trade fields including: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.

  • Ability to drive company vehicle safely.

Specific duties may include and not be limited to the following:

  • Plumbing: Replace P-traps, snake lines, replace faucets, toilets, and other miscellaneous plumbing tasks

  • Carpentry/General Maintenance: Knowledge and experience using a multitude of machine and hand tools including, table, reciprocating and circular saws, air tools, drill/screw guns and other miscellaneous tools. Experience in cutting, patching, taping, and painting of drywall.

General building experience.

  • Electrical: Knowledge and experience replacing light bulbs, light switches, receptacles, ballasts, fixtures, emergency lights and other miscellaneous electrical tasks.

Preference is given to those with a strong electrical background.

Education Requirements : High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements : 2 or 3 years in a similar position and/or organization

Pay Range:

$21.11 - $33.79

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
