JOB SUMMARY: Provides human resources administrative support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Incorporate best practices regarding confidentiality into all job duties and communications in accordance with HIPAA, Article 27-F, Alliance for Positive Health policies and procedures and other applicable regulations. Observe and abide by HIPAA and the HIV Confidentiality Law.

  • Supports administration, coordination, and application of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Responds to employee’s benefit questions, assists with resolution of problems regarding access to or payment of benefits, assists employees with paperwork related to filing medical claims, and processes enrollment forms and change requests.

  • Coordinates distribution/communication of projects including but not limited to Employee Policy handbook, 401(k) open enrollment, and employee recognition.

  • Coordinates paperwork related to benefits, retirement plans, COBRA continuation, workers’ compensation, and unemployment.

  • Maintains employee files and database.

  • Processes and submits payroll information; troubleshoots payroll issues; distributes paychecks.

  • Schedules interviews and applicant testing.

  • Schedules and coordinates new employee orientations.

  • Assists with communication of benefit programs changes and updates.

  • Posts required labor law information.

  • Screens and routes telephone calls.

  • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing.

  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.

  • Assists with scheduling and managing temporary workers as needed.

  • Maintains and orders supplies for administration as needed.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One to two years related experience.

  • Basic knowledge of HR laws and regulations.

  • Proficient on MS Word, Excel. Understanding of databases.

  • Keystroke a minimum of 50 wpm.

  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

  • Acute attention to detail.

    Employment Classification : Full-time, (37.5 hours per week); Nonexempt; $45,000-$50,000/annual salary.
