Actalent Distribution Designer in Albany, New York

Job Title: Distribution DesignerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Distribution Designer proficient in SmallWorld GIS software to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing electrical power distribution projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed electrical diagrams and layout designs for electrical installations using SmallWorld GIS software.

  • Perform load calculations to determine the capacity and requirements of electrical systems.

  • Assess the efficiency of current systems and suggest improvements or modifications.

  • Work closely with electrical engineers and other professionals to implement designs.

  • Ensure all designs comply with electrical codes and regulations.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in electrical distribution design.

  • Proficiency in SmallWorld GIS software.

  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution design.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with utility design.

  • Knowledge of make ready processes.

Work Environment

This position is remote.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr.
