New York State Job Bank Business System Analyst 3 in ALBANY, New York
The Business System Analyst 3 duties in Strategic Planning and Innovation Division will include but are not limited to the following: Oversee the business analysis team in continuous recruitment management, monitoring help desk metrics, identifying help desk best practices, and developing help desk policies and procedures. Identify non-software processes involving multiple teams and develop efficient solutions to track, improve, and streamline these processes (e.g., onboarding, offboarding). Identify processes that could be enhanced by low-code solutions (e.g., SharePoint, Power Automate) and lead the development, testing, and implementation of these solutions. Coordinate and support the IT activities within program areas. Create and track open ITSM tickets and demands. Perform other duties as assigned, including handling unscheduled irregular work related to Departmental IT systems and operational support. Monitor the training and development of Business Systems Analysts 1 and 2, and others within the unit. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies: Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated success in leading large projects. Strong oral and written communication skills. Successful change management and business process reengineering experience. Experience finding ways to improve processes with simple, automated solutions and leading their implementation.
