Atlas CMT Field Technician 1 in Alabaster, Alabama

We are seeking a CMT Field Technician 1 to join our Alabaster, AL team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform field testing for concrete, hot mix, soils and aggregates.

  • Daily completion of test reporting and timesheet entry.

  • Proactive communication between project managers, office dispatcher, and client representatives.

  • Completion of online safety training modules as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum requirements:

  • 5-10 years' experience working in the construction industry

  • Experience reading and comprehending plans, specifications and test procedures

  • Working knowledge of concrete, soils, base and asphalt pavements

  • Highway or building construction experience and a proven history of working well with contractors and owners to accomplish construction tasks is preferred

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • High school diploma/GED required.

Technical requirements:

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, and LIMS software.

  • ACI Level 1 Field Technician Certification

Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

  • Must be willing to work either day or night shifts

  • Must be willing to transition from field testing and inspection to project management

  • Must be willing to work “off hours” when needed and up to 60 hours per week as needed
