We are seeking a CMT Field Technician 1 to join our Alabaster, AL team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform field testing for concrete, hot mix, soils and aggregates.
Daily completion of test reporting and timesheet entry.
Proactive communication between project managers, office dispatcher, and client representatives.
Completion of online safety training modules as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum requirements:
5-10 years' experience working in the construction industry
Experience reading and comprehending plans, specifications and test procedures
Working knowledge of concrete, soils, base and asphalt pavements
Highway or building construction experience and a proven history of working well with contractors and owners to accomplish construction tasks is preferred
Must have a valid driver's license
High school diploma/GED required.
Technical requirements:
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, and LIMS software.
ACI Level 1 Field Technician Certification
Other miscellaneous qualities:
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Must be willing to work either day or night shifts
Must be willing to transition from field testing and inspection to project management
Must be willing to work “off hours” when needed and up to 60 hours per week as needed
