As a Field Service Engineer II, you will be joining our Lifecycle Solutions & Services (LSS) business. LSS focuses on providing customers with maintenance and modernization services. The Field Service Engineer acts as the primary face of Honeywell for the customer and is responsible for the daily implementation, administration and troubleshooting of the Honeywell HPS products installed at the customer location. The role of a Field Service Engineer also includes leading/implementing complex and standard engineering solutions, typically undertaking one aspect of a large project (i.e. Migration, Systems, Control or Safety applications, IT, Hardware design etc), to successful completion within budgeted time and cost constraints while achieving required quality. This includes acting as the primary technical interface with customers, establishing professional relationships to ensure that the technical requirements and solutions are fully defined, agreed, and delivered within schedule and cost constraints.

Primary Focus: The selected candidate will perform maintenance, audits, survey, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex/advanced Honeywell Industrial security / DVM systems like EIS (EBI, TEMA), DVM Camera system. Your time will be spent validating customer requests, developing/maintaining/improving customer relationships, upgrades/migration planning and execution, all while ensuring flawless and on time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Industrial Security, Access control system EBI / EIS, DVM migrations. Complex Spot and Project scoping & execution.

  • Represent Honeywell at our customer sites.

  • Commit yourself to a training and development plan to grow your skills.

  • Provides proactive maintenance support, system upgrades and drives asset optimization for individual customers.

  • Provide customer support on Honeywell Access control systems, DVM system and serve as a customer contact for service-related issues / enquiries.

  • Configure, maintain, and solve Honeywell hardware / software issues.

  • Upgrade EBI, DVM Experion software from one software release to another software release on live system without causing any interruption to customer’s industrial process.

  • Migrate Legacy systems to Honeywell’s new technology offering.

  • Understand customer key processes and economic drivers to translate those into business opportunities while providing timely research and recommendations

  • Assist Sales during sales pursuits and be the face of Honeywell to end-users

  • Learn the end-to-end product / solution development and delivery / execution of Honeywell products and solutions

  • Use technical expertise of sophisticated Honeywell solutions / product offerings to improve customer experience

  • Actively interface with customers at all levels. Ensures customer satisfaction through oral, written communication and on time reporting.

  • Collaborate with our Global Technical Support to close customer issues.

  • Escalate customer issues thru the Field Service Manager and Service Operations Leader.

  • Provide mentorship and training to other field service engineers to expedite skills acquisition process.

  • Travel 75% of your time to be on location at customer site.

  • Self-motivation and willingness to work in demanding environments with little or no supervision and take initiative to be proactive.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills must be able to clearly articulate messages both technical and non-technical.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years prior field experience in supporting EBI, TEMA, DVM Camera systems

  • Valid driver's license

  • Willingness and ability to travel 75% of time

  • Willing to relocate either at Atlanta, GA OR Mobile, AL OR Jacksonville, FL

We Value:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical/Engineering field OR Associates Degree.

  • Experience with EBI, DVM or Experion PKS

  • Ability to obtain at least one L3 certifications within 9 months.

  • Software configuration, migration experience, project engineering experience, virtualization, Cyber process control, electrical, or other application experience.

  • Good communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work safely within the Honeywell/Customer HSE requirements.

  • Experience working in a Field Service Engineer position

  • Be able to work effectively both individually and with a group without need of direct supervision

  • Experience using Windows and Microsoft Office

  • Experience with PC/Networking Equipment.

  • Experience in Virtualization hardware/software, setup, and network configuration.

  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; capable of learning available analysis tools to solve complex system problems.

  • Project a positive and confident attitude focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations

  • Design/Engineer solutions to prevent reoccurring problems

  • Able to conduct formal meetings with customer and Capable of writing, reviewing, and / or editing various types of reports

  • Proactively recommend potential quality and efficiency improvements within the services group.

  • Share technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline, and other engineering disciplines.
