Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical BIM Engineer to join our team.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical BIM engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing mechanical BIM models and producing accurate and high-quality construction documentation.
Responsibilities:
Professionally develop and maintain mechanical BIM models using Revit software.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and efficient project completion.
Create accurate and detailed design drawings and models along with other construction documentation for mechanical systems.
Perform clash detection analysis and provide solutions to mitigate conflicts.
Review and coordinate design changes with project managers and other engineers.
Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, as well as local and national codes and regulations.
Participate in design meetings and provide technical expertise as needed.
Prepare and present project progress reports to design managers.
Provide training and support to junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance project outcomes and team performance.
Act as a mentor and role model to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Qualifications:
Must have Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. This will provide you with the foundational knowledge necessary to excel in this role.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the mechanical engineering / construction field BIM modelling are required. This should cover the different types of projects both in design stages and construction stages.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software is required. We rely heavily on these tools to complete our work, so it is essential that the candidate have a deep understanding of them.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate will be working closely with other members of the team where the ability to communicate effectively is critical.
The ability to work independently with minor guidance.
