Job Title: Accounts Receivable SpecialistJob Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist – International plays a pivotal role in managing all Accounts Receivable team functions specific to the International and Export business. This ensures the timely processing of essential tasks while supporting the Domestic Accounts Receivable team when necessary. The position offers an opportunity for long-term growth for individuals who excel in their role.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor incoming requests and respond promptly to ensure exceptional customer service.

  • Train and mentor less experienced team members.

  • Participate in the cash application process and manage customer payments.

  • Coordinate order release and approval activities for orders on credit hold.

  • Assist with credit checks and hold release activities to align with company objectives.

  • Coordinate customer credit changes with the Credit Manager, including Salesforce cases.

  • Contact the Accounts Receivable Supervisor for unclear payments and short pays.

  • Research and recommend initial credit lines.

  • Analyze and inform sales, district sales manager, and credit & collections manager of credit risks.

  • Partner with sales teams and customer service representatives to resolve disputes.

  • Research credits and communicate findings to customers after verification by the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.

  • Communicate bad debt write-off recommendations and approvals to management.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer payment statuses.

  • Ensure accurate maintenance of customer accounts and Customer Master data.

  • Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable and sales tax status.

  • Communicate with the Sales & Accounts Receivable Supervisor about top outstanding accounts.

  • Ensure company objectives for DSO targets are met through effective customer account management.

  • Perform month-end tasks as needed.

  • Complete other duties as assigned, including Accounts Receivable reporting.

  • Strong data entry and retrieval skills.

  • Understanding of standard accounts receivable policies, processes, and practices.

  • Analytical skills for managing complex or diverse information.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Problem-solving skills to identify, resolve, and develop alternative solutions.

  • Customer service skills to handle difficult or emotional situations effectively.

  • Commitment to quality through accuracy, thoroughness, and detail-oriented work.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities. The role involves significant interaction with the sales team, customer service representatives, and management. Candidates should be comfortable working under tight deadlines and are expected to demonstrate professionalism and quality in their work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
