ZAK DESIGNS INC Warehouse Assembler in Airway Heights, Washington

The Warehouse Assembler position at Zak Designs works to assemble dinnerware and flatware into sets and displays and pre-prices products to match customer needs.  This position also performs first line quality assurance procedures on products. In addition, this position works as a support function, as workload requires, for other departments within the warehouse, such as Pallet-Build Up, Shipping Ecommerce, and Receiving.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Obtains and un-packages product
  • Examines product for defects
  • Assembles and packages product
  • Pre-prices product as necessary
  • Shrink wraps product as necessary
  • General cleanup of Production space, conveyor, tape machine, tables, etc.
  • Assists in the unloading of trucks and in the warehousing of product
  • Assembles display corrugation
  • Breaks out product from masters to inners for key customers
  • Collects material for corrugation recycling and operates a small baler on-site
  • This warehouse position is a supporting role for other departments, therefore job duties and responsibilities may vary dependent on business needs.

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least three (3) months of related experience and/or training. 
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, shipping documents, and memos.   Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Be able to speak and understand simple sentences.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or limited variables.
