Savannah River Mission Completion Manager, End Stream Delivery (ESD) Operations in Aiken, South Carolina
Overview
Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, End Stream Delivery (ESD) Operations to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.
This Manager functions as the senior operations line manager, directs and leads safe operations for End Stream Delivery facilities. Plans, organizes and directs short and long-range resource requirements and programs to continually improve Conduct of Operations and fosters a Nuclear Safety Culture. Provides direct support to the ESD Facility Manager and acts on his/her behalf by providing leadership to project interfaces and facility support organizations during implementation of facility modifications, waste transfers, safety basis changes, major repairs, and the ongoing operation of the facility.
Responsibilities
Reports to and carries out instructions from the End Stream Delivery Facility Manager.
Manages the safe and efficient operation of the Saltstone Facility in accordance with Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR), DOE orders and other Federal and State governmental regulatory requirements.
Manages the safe and efficient operation of the Effluent Treatment Facility (ETF) in accordance with Auditable Safety Analysis (ASA), wastewater permits, DOE orders and other Federal and State governmental regulatory requirements.
Manages, plans, prioritizes, and coordinates work to achieve processing milestone goals for Saltstone & ETF.
Manages shift operations to meet facility objectives with a team comprised of multi-disciplined individuals (exempt and non-exempt).
Selects, trains, and qualifies operations personnel.
Develops and implements the facility mission, vision and principles including facility specific operations performance goals and standards consistent with company objectives.
Manages and integrates project and process improvements into existing facilities without disruption of the production mission at ESD.
Ensures implementation and/or necessary project OAC activities in ESD are completed.
Fosters an environment in which all work is performed utilizing DOE/INPO Conduct of Operations Standards and HPI tools within a Safety Conscious Work Environment/Nuclear Safety Culture.
Conducts investigations of abnormal operational events to identify and correct the root cause of the event, corrective actions, and evaluates against ORPS criteria in Saltstone.
Provides oversight and assessment of all operations. Reviews documentation, logs, and procedures to ensure standards and objectives are being met.
Interfaces with Saltwaste Processing Facility (SWPF), Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF), Tank Farm and SRMC management, external and internal customers, including DOE facility personnel and DNFSB.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline with experience in a relevant engineering, operations and/or maintenance function; or
Associates of Science or Associates of Applied Science degree or non-technical Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in engineering, operations or maintenance function; or
High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience in engineering, operations or maintenance function
4+ years Nuclear Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Solid understanding of facility DSA/TSRs, nuclear safety, Operations, Maintenance, Construction, Quality Assurance, Procedures, Planning/Scheduling, Investigative Techniques, Conduct of Operations and Nuclear Safety Culture
In depth knowledge of ORPS reporting criteria, Radiological Control practices and requirements
Previous direct management experience and demonstrated leadership
BS or MS in Engineering preferred
Experience working in a nuclear facility
Project management experience
Broad understanding of environmental laws and regulations, DOE orders and knowledge of company policies
