Honeywell Aerospace Technologies Product & Data Operations is responsible for the development and commercialization of an offering portfolio by improving execution and governance of strategy, processes, and digital tools. The Product & Data Operations team works closely with Offering Managers and cross-functional departments, such as engineering/R&D, manufacturing/sourcing or software development, and marketing, as well as Honeywell senior executives to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the organization’s product portfolio today and in the future.

The Sr. Product Operations Specialist role supports the Product Operations Director in successfully managing the IT Tools, Data Analytics, and KPIs/Reporting for New Product Development and Portfolio Management. This role will be focused on IT Project Management & IT Program Analytics for key portfolio management tools and new digital dashboards. The Sr. Product Operations Specialist will provide project management expertise for multiple projects in alignment with Honeywell IT & Development Teams for our AERO Portfolio Management & reporting tools including Accolade, Tableau, Alteryx, etc. This role will oversee project teams and resources, define project priorities and schedules in JIRA, oversee quality control, and communicate status and results with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will deploy standardized work, project management methodologies, governance, and tools to enable consistent, high quality, agile execution of Portfolio Management projects. This role is based in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and reports to the Director of Product Operations based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Aerospace Technologies Product Ops IT Project Management and Data Analytics for key portfolio management tools and new digital dashboards, leveraging tools such as Accolade, Tableau, and Alteryx

  • Drive the Aerospace Technologies implementation of Honeywell Portfolio Management Digital Tools to support the overall Honeywell New Product Development (NPD) & Innovation Global Design Model (GDM), enabling standardized and digitized processes within our business models to accelerate Organic Growth

  • Leverage IT Project / Program Management skills to manage an AERO Change Control Board, including the prioritization, measurement, assessment, and assignment of resources to IT Tickets in JIRA for latest enhancements or improvement projects. Effectively managing development / engineering resources and the accurate flow down of requirements.

  • Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new processes, enhancements, and fixes in our digital tools through the design and implementation of UAT Test Scripts, and the execution of such in the QA / Testing Environment with key Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) prior to implementation to Production

  • Collaborate and work effectively with key stakeholders maintaining regular communication to ensure alignment of priorities and escalate tickets and critical drivers to the Honeywell Change Control Board

  • Drive strong new product development management operating systems (MOS) together with the Product Ops team and cross-functional teams to ensure quality product data is entered on-time and maintained in the systems of record, identifying continuous improvement opportunities

  • Analyze data and create insightful, data-driven report outs on key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership to outline where improvement is needed in order to achieve organic growth goals

  • Partner with Honeywell Commercial Teams to digitize business / technology roadmaps and financial tracking in Tableau, Accolade, and similar data management systems to accelerate Organic Growth

  • Facilitate training and standard work for key Digital Tools as Processes, ensuring the documentation of critical training materials and/or modules in the related Learning Hub

  • Collaborate with SBUs to identify digital functionality needed to improve the NPI process and meet customer requirements.

  • Manage Digital Metrics and execute Digital Strategic Plans with supporting engineering, IT and Corporate counterparts, including driving synergies across cross-functional organizations

  • Establish an understanding of the overall portfolio, working closely with peers to ensure end to end accountability

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 3+ years of experience in managing Programs/large complex projects with an emphasis in IT Project / Program Management, Data Analytics, or

  • 3+ years of experience in R&D/Engineering with a track record of demonstrated, recognizable results

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science,

  • Agile certification preferred

  • Experience collaborating with global teams on projects across a matrix organization structure

  • Robust knowledge of key project management practices with strong business acumen and customer focus

  • Strong management operating system that facilitates communication

  • Experience collaborating with cross functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives

  • Ability to influence an organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches

  • Knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to digital applications within the industry

  • Ability to structure and independently lead projects, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the company

  • Experience with project planning, scoping, scheduling, and execution in a phase-gate and/or agile environment

  • Proven experience on continuous improvement, with the ability to think creatively, to anticipate problems and opportunities, and to be an effective change agent

  • An understanding of Honeywell portfolio, processes, and workflows

  • Ability to convey information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse, global teams

  • Ability to handle ambiguity; effectively adapt to change, shifting gears while handling risk and uncertainty.

  • Ability to integrate critical information and champion advanced strategies / concept through the organization, driving development of advanced technologies, principles, and processes.
