Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer with a strong inspection background and experience in root cause analysis. This role involves a significant amount of documentation, reviewing certifications and drawings, and backfilling inspections when not engaged in engineering tasks.
Responsibilities
Conduct audits adhering to AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
Perform PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and First Article Inspections.
Execute Root Cause Corrective Actions.
Track quality activities within various customer portals.
Support the inspection team with gage control, and inspecting and measuring dimensions on in-process parts.
Assist with overflow of parts in production.
Maintain daily interface with outside services and customers.
Maintain records and documentation.
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Essential Skills
Quality engineering experience.
Root cause analysis.
Audit experience.
Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards.
First Article Inspection (FAI) expertise.
PPAP process knowledge.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3-5 years of work experience in a similar role.
Hands-on experience with inspection tools and measurements.
Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
Work Environment
The position is based in a shop floor/manufacturing environment with an extremely casual dress code. The company has less than 50 employees, offering a close-knit team atmosphere. The work hours are from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The role reports to the Quality Engineering Liaison and serves as a bridge between management and inspectors.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
