       Oversee the ADM High School Auditorium and coordinate the resources required to meet the technical needs for the successful production of all ADM Community School District and rental activities in the auditorium. Professional Preparation, Experience, Skills:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; preferred college degree with an emphasis on technical theater or facility management.

  • Knowledge of theater equipment and technology, including but not limited to:

  • Stage rigging and operation

  • Performance staging equipment, including platforms, risers and acoustical shells

  • Stage lighting fixture care and maintenance

  • Stage audio equipment care and maintenance

  • All areas of stage and auditorium safety

  • Basic computer proficiency (scheduling, email, and document management)

  • Knowledge of and experience in theater arts and design, including but not limited to:

  • Sound design, execution and live mixing

  • Stage lighting design and execution

  • Video production, live event recording / streaming, and video editing

  • Ability to manage equipment and supply purchasing, inventory upkeep, and basic facility maintenance (in conjunction with district maintenance department)

  • Ability to perform basic custodial tasks (in conjunction with district custodial department)

  • Ability to work in an active teaching and public use facility environment

  • Able to supervise and teach students of all ages

  • Able to establish and maintain working relationships with administration, staff, faculty, parents, outside renters, and community members

  • Able to set and meet deadlines

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends

  • Able to keep accurate facility maintenance and repair records

  • The Auditorium Manager may be asked to perform other duties as assigned by district administration.

    Physical and Logistical Requirements:

  • Ability to routinely lift more than 25 lbs.

  • Ability to work at heights above 10 feet, including ladders, scaffolding, lifts, loading bridges, and catwalks

  • Ability to work in an environment with students and adults

    Essential Functions & Performance Responsibilities:

  • Positive Relationships: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with administration, staff, faculty, students, outside renters, and community members.

  • Schedule Events: Assist the Activities Director in scheduling the district and rental usage calendar for the facility.

  • Rental Agreements: Assist the Activities Director with the preparation of rental agreements and rider approval (if required) for outside rental requests.

  • Attend Events: Be present at or schedule someone to attend all events held in the facility.

  • Setup: Coordinate or ensure coordination occurs with school employees and outside renters to prepare and set up equipment (performance equipment, microphones, speakers, lighting, platforms, risers, acoustical shells, pianos, podiums, etc.) for all events (rehearsals, performances, concerts, etc.) held in the facility.

  • Sound: Run sound or ensure someone is available to run sound for all events held in the facility.

  • Live Stream: Run the live stream or ensure someone is available to run the live stream for all events held in the facility.

  • Training and Supervision: Train and supervise, or ensure a qualified individual is available to train and supervise, any technical personnel that will use equipment in the facility, including students, volunteers, outside renters, faculty and staff.

  • Maintenance: Perform typical repairs and maintenance within your qualified skill set to ensure all equipment (lighting, audio/video, curtains, electrical, soft goods, stage floor, storage areas, etc.) is in proper working order, including routine and scheduled maintenance, in conjunction with the Director of Building and Grounds.

  • Storage: Ensure the orderly, safe, and secure storage of all equipment associated with the auditorium facility.

  • Purchasing and Budget: Maximize the annual service budget for the maintenance, repair, and technical advancement of the auditorium facility.

  • Auditorium Environment: Take pride in maintaining and monitoring the cleanliness, safety, and security of the facility at all times.
