WSP USA Mine Environment Permitting Specialist in AB, Canada

VANCOUVER, CALGARY, EDMONTON, SASKATOON

A day in the life:

  • Working with our client teams to understand their proposed projects and the regulatory approvals required to implement them.

  • Supporting multidisciplinary engineering and science teams to plan the work needed to undertake social and environmental assessment of proposed mining projects.

  • Support the integration of sustainable solutions across various projects by collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and science teams to integrate information across work platforms and products.

  • Preparing and editing technical assessments and reports to deliver multidiscipline social and environmental impact assessments and regulatory approval applications for the mining industry.

  • Assisting on multi-disciplinary projects with data analysis and reporting.

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as science, engineering, sustainability, with a focus on social and environmental assessment, mining, biodiversity, water management, or other related expertise.

  • Experience with sustainability in the resource or heavy industry sector.

  • Experience in environmental consulting or in the mining sector.

  • Aptitude for understanding integrated effects processes across engineering and scientific disciplines

  • Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills written and verbal

  • Possess as valid driver’s license and the ability to drive as required

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $62 600 - $106 400
