Treasury Wine Estates Group Financial Controller in 3000 Melbourne, Australia

About the role

Reporting into our Deputy CFO, this role is responsible for oversight of the monthly global financial reporting processes and ensuring delivery of all of our statutory and external financial reporting requirements.

  • Manage all statutory reporting processes and requirements for the Group

  • Provision of IFRS technical advice to the business

  • Ensure TWE’s approach to key accounting matters is appropriate and in line with requirements (impairment, share based payments, agricultural assets, etc.).

  • Responsible for maintaining the group’s accounting policies and educating the business on key developments and changes from time to time, ensuring appropriate business engagement.

  • Lead all financial aspects of ESG reporting, working in conjunction with the Global Director – Sustainability.

About you

We are searching for a technically strong individual with in-depth experience in complex accounting issues in an ASX-environment (ASX is essential.) This would be an ideal move for a Big 4 candidate at Director level in audit, or someone with extensive financial control experience in an ASX.

  • CA/CPA qualified

  • Very strong understanding of IFRS, ASX listing rules along with a strong understanding of the Corporations Act in so far as it applies to financial reporting

  • Strong systems understanding – experience with JDE, HFM, PBCS would be advantageous

  • Strong project management and organisational skills including a structured, organised approach to ensure quality outcomes are delivered in accordance with tight timeframes

  • Experience in preparing senior management communications, audit committee papers, etc.
